Marine Assurance & Vessel Inspections — OVID, eCMID & DP

Independent OCIMF OVID inspections by an accredited inspector based in Trinidad, mobilising across the six territories we cover rather than flying in. We prepare offshore vessels for charterer and operator vetting, carry out IMCA eCMID and MISW inspections, and provide dynamic-positioning assurance from annual trials to documentation review — our senior surveyors hold Master Mariner credentials.

OVID accredited vessel inspector on staff — Capt. Andrew Taylor, Operations Manager. Inspection reports are submitted to the OVID database, and close-out of observations is managed with the operator.

OVID Inspections (OCIMF)

Marine Warranty Survey

Independent marine warranty survey for offshore operations — led by hands-on anchor-handling and rig-move experience and Master Mariner credentials. Acting for underwriters and operators, we mitigate risk at the planning stage and attend the operation, with the advantage of rapid local mobilisation across Trinidad and Guyana rather than flying surveyors in.

Offshore Cargo & Fuel Loadout Oversight

We hold particular expertise in offshore-industry loadouts, supporting the oil majors with independent verification of fuel and bulk cargoes delivered to vessels — every operation attended by our surveyors and run to our own written procedures.

Fuel (MGO / IFO) Loadouts & ROB Surveys

Independently verify quantity loaded from vessel and shore measurements
Pre-loading checks for free water and sediment in the fuel source and on board
Fuel samples taken and labelled at three stages of loading for visual inspection and laboratory analysis
Bacterial testing of fuel during loading (analysis via Analytical Technologies, Point Lisas)
